Our Job Clubs provide support for anyone looking for work, getting back into work after a break or looking to change career path. We offer CV Creation, IT support, Job Searching Support, Interview Techniques and Practice, Work Experience plus more practical solutions to helping you get into employment.

Work Experience

If you fancy trying new skills or are looking for work experience to put on your CV, then we can help. We offer work experience roles in administration, customer service, catering and caretaking. You’ll be supported throughout your work experience and offered additional help provided through our Job Club service.

Social Walking Group

Join us once a week for a Social Walk. We start and finish at our Hub in the Castle Grounds It’s a great way to meet others, have a chat as well as get some light exercise. We walk for approx. 2 miles taking in areas such as Tamworth Castle Grounds, The Lake, The Planetary Walk, and Glascote Road. Occasionally we also arrange our own outing to a place of interest organised between the group members.

Cycling Group

We offer two cycle rides per week aimed at getting people cycling.
If you haven’t cycled before or are looking to build your confidence join our beginners ride. They travel off road for approx. 5-10 miles.
The intermediate cycle ride is aimed at those who have some experience and involves an element of on road cycling, travelling for approx. 10-15 miles.

Community Café Drop-In Sessions

We offer breakfast club and after school weekly drop in sessions covering Wilnecote, Stonydelph, Belgrave and Glascote. You can catch up with friends, meet new people, make connections and gain from mutual support in your community. Crafts and themed activities are provided for those wishing to take part and local service providers also pop into our safe environments.

Cook Together Eat Together

We host a weekly Cook Together, Eat Together session at our Hub which gives people the opportunity to cook a meal together each week and then enjoy eating it in the company of others. Games and colouring are available for children and it’s a great way to share recipes and learn new skills. It’s great for families and individuals. Costs £2 per person and £5 for family of four (2 adult and 2 children).

IT Support / Computer Club

ComputerClub

If you are looking for help on how to use a laptop, mobile phone, tablet or iPad then why not pop down to our IT Support / Computer Club. We have a team of Volunteers at hand to help you. Bring your own equipment or use one of our desk tops or laptops. We can also help you to download photographs, set up an email account, search the net. Whatever you want help with we can help you. Just drop in and spend the full two hours with us or as long as you want.

The Hub

Our Hub is located in the heart of Tamworth Town Centre in Tamworth Castle Grounds. We offer a range of weekly activities ranging from walking, cycling, crafts to befriending sessions. We always have games on the tables for you to take part in whilst enjoying a freshly made latte or sandwich. Have a go at pottery painting with over 60 items to choose from with prices starting from as little as £5. Other activities we support include parent and tot groups, pram walk and play and stay groups.

Volunteering
